9/10 Tastemaker Dinner with Niccolò Marzichi Lenzi of Tenuta di Biserno

September 10, 2025 06:30 PM until September 10, 2025

The Story Behind the Tastemaker Series

The greatest, most memorable wine tastings are the ones where the winemaker invites you into their home, lays out a spread of food, opens up bottles, and tells you their story. It is intimate, illuminating, and unforgettable.

Our Tastemaker Dinner series aims to recreate that same feeling. We set our private dining room up so that there are no more than 14 gathered around a table, including the winemaker. Our chefs write the menu with the terroir of the region in mind (if it grows together, it goes together), and all are transported for a night of stellar wine drinking.

Niccolò Marzichi Lenzi of Tenuta di Biserno

Tenuta di Biserno is no ordinary winery. Conceived by Marchese Lodovico Antinori—the visionary behind Ornellaia and Masseto—it was born from a moment of discovery. In the Upper Maremma, where the Bibbona and Bolgheri regions meet, Lodovico saw something rare: a terroir that echoed the legendary soils of Saint-Émilion and Pomerol. With the help of celebrated oenologist Michel Rolland and the support of his brother, Marchese Piero Antinori, Lodovico began a bold new chapter. What followed was the planting of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot—grapes that would come to define Biserno’s Bordeaux-style blends.

At the heart of this story now stands Niccolò Marzichi Lenzi, Lodovico’s nephew and the modern face of Tenuta di Biserno. Under his leadership, the estate hasn’t just preserved its founders’ vision—it has pushed it forward. With a sharp eye for innovation and a deep-rooted respect for tradition, Niccolò is blending sustainability with sophistication, and heritage with bold evolution.

This dinner is more than a tasting—it’s a chance to hear the story of Biserno from the inside. Expect rare wines, deep insight, and an unforgettable evening with one of Italy’s most dynamic wine voices.
